Competency-based learning will prepare students to actively face the challenges of the 21st century. So the board has included merit-based questions in the exam system. This will not require the students to memorize but they will have to answer from their own understanding.

40 percent of the questions will have to be answered by your own understanding:
In class 9th-10th, students have to answer 40 percent of the questions on their own understanding. It will also include event-based questions and MCQ questions. Whereas 20 percent of questions will be multiple choice and 40 percent short answer type questions. Whereas in the last session, 30 percent of aptitude-based questions were asked in term-1.

50% of questions will be short and long questions.
In class XII, 50% of questions will be short and long questions. The number of questions based on merit will be 30%. At the same time, 20 percent of questions will be of multiple choice type. Whereas under the examination system of two sessions Term-1 and Term-2, 20 percent aptitude-based questions were asked in the first term. While the Term-2 examinations are going on in which 20 percent of merit-based questions are being asked.

 It is to be known that only last month, the board had announced that from the academic session 2022-23, the board examination would be held only once under the old system. Due to the Corona epidemic, the board had divided the arrangements for the academic session 2021-22 into two sessions (Term-1 and Term-2). In which the examinations were conducted according to the fifty-fifty percent syllabus.
