In which languages the exam will be conducted:
The central government has announced that NRA will conduct this exam in 12 languages. Which languages are included in these 12 languages? It hasn’t been announced yet. However, according to media reports, NRA will conduct this exam in languages included in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution along with Hindi and English.
Languages to be selected in these 22 languages:
There are 22 languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. NRA can conduct CET in the languages included in this schedule. At present Assamese, Oriya, Urdu, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Gujarati, Dogri, Tamil, Telugu, Nepali, Punjabi, Bengali, Bodo, Manipuri, Marathi, Malayalam, Maithili, Santhali, Sanskrit, Sindhi, and Hindi language is included.
What is CET :
The Central Government has decided to conduct Common Eligibility Test (CET) to conduct the prelims exam in Group B and C non-technical recruitments simultaneously. The prelims exam for Group B and C non-technical recruitments of Railways, SSC and Banking Sectors will be conducted simultaneously through CET. The CET will be conducted by the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). The central government has constituted NRA and it will conduct CET for the first time in 2022.
