The Delhi government has ordered all private schools to cut the fees charged by 15 per cent in the academic year 2020-21. The Delhi government has taken this step to provide relief to the parents who are facing financial crisis during the Corona period. If you understand in simple language, if the monthly fee of the school in the financial year 2020-21 is Rs 3000 then the school will charge only Rs 2550 from the parents after deducting 15 percent in it.
Schools have been instructed that if the schools have taken more fees from the parents than this, then the schools will have to refund the fees or adjust the fees further. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that during the Corona period, when all the parents are facing financial crisis, a 15 percent reduction in fees will be a big relief for them.
