30 million people have studied on the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) online learning portal launched with the aim of enhancing knowledge in multidisciplinary subjects along with traditional studies in higher educational institutions.
Of these, 11.13 lakh candidates have also obtained certificates after free studies. This disclosure has been made in the survey report conducted by the Ministry of Education in May 2022. Workers and students take exams after graduation to obtain certificates so that 40 percent of the credits with the certificate can be added to their degree. This includes students, professionals as well as housewives. The housewives are getting up-to-date with this course onwards for children’s education.

Tamil Nadu first and Uttar Pradesh second:
The largest number of students from Tamil Nadu across the country are studying on the portal itself. While Uttar Pradesh is second, Andhra Pradesh is third and Jammu and Kashmir are at the fourth place. At the same time, Punjab is 9th, Haryana 13th, Uttarakhand 14th, and Delhi 15th. Apart from this, Himachal Pradesh is on the 22nd, and Chandigarh is on the 24th.

UGC Swayam 2021 Regulations Implemented:
University Grants Commission (UGC) Secretary Professor Rajnish Jain has written a letter to all more than one thousand universities on Sunday, directing them to include online learning portal courses in their credit transfer system. It is written in it that the UGC itself 2021 regulation has come into force. Higher educational institutions should apply themselves in the interest of the students. The 20 credits which were available earlier have been increased to 40 percent.
About 70 percent of the students joined:
During the survey, out of ten thousand students surveyed, about 70 percent said that they themselves are connected with the online learning portal. Among the top 50 self-studying universities, GLA University Mathura has the largest number of students. University of Jammu third, BHU, Hemwanti Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Central University of Jammu, Rajiv Gandhi National Open University of Law Punjab are included.
